As we all know, abortion is morally and legally wrong in Malaysia. But why is it legal is some other countries?

Generally, the word fetus is from the Latin fetus, meaning offspring, bringing forth, hatching of young The fetal stage begins about eight weeks after fertilization.

At this point, all major structures, including hands, feet, head, brain, and other organs are present, but they will continue to grow, develop, and become more functional. It has begun to form into a human being. Therefor no debate shall be brought upon on whether aborting a fetus amounts to killing another human being because a life and soul is already present. It is sinful and we are aware of that.

Is aborting an embryo amounts to killing another life? The question is, is an embryo even a human to begin with?

A pro-choicer may admit that genetically and scientifically an embryo is a human, but they will then argue that they do not yet have “person hood” so it is ok to kill them. Does it mean it is not wrong to abort a embryo as long as it doesn't resemble a human?

I had always believed that a living human have real physical appearance, an embryo however, is just a cell nothing resemblance to a human. The Christian, who believes that a person is both a physical body and a soul, may believe that person hood is not physical. They may be able to believe that an embryo, although scientifically human, is not a person because they do not have a soul. But this is a rather poor judgement as we have no idea when the soul is imparted into the body, can never prove any view on this. Should we or not MUST stick with the science that says life starts from conception?

Where on earth did the idea come from that you can be “human” but not a “person", really? what is the deference?

I believe, the judgement on an abortion should or not be done is more often based on emotion - people have had an abortion or know someone who had an abortion, wants to believe that that was okay, and come up with philosophical or religious reasons to justify their position.They tend to avoid accepting the fact that the mistake they have done is a sin to make themselves feel better.

Why live in a lie knowing it will hunt you for the rest of your life?

I strongly stand by abortion should be allowed under few circumstances. A rape victim should be given the choice to abort the unwanted child. But what if a girl becomes an unwed mom and her partner refuses to take the responsibility? Forcing her to keep the child will only ruin the mother and child's life altogether if the mother is not physically and metally ready.

Abortion should be a choice done by the mother of the unborn child, not the authority or the society. But again, the young people will then take advantage of this knowing that if anything goes wrong, abortion will be the sole exit from trouble. It will then promotes premarital sex which is the dark side of the story.

However, my conclusion is, abortion should not be legalize but at the same time the law should not be so rigid and more flexible. I would say abortion should be allowed to those who are under the age of majority but serious consideration should be taken for those who are above the legal age.
